We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Program Coordinator to lead our Tk/K Expanded Learning program within the Elk Grove Unified School District.
This is a FULL-TIME with BENEFITS, on-site position at Elk Grove Unified School District schools. Work hours will vary depending on your assigned school, but will typically begin at the start of the school day and last eight hours.
As a Site Coordinator, you will be at the forefront of our during-the-day and after-school program at your assigned campus, managing a team of up to 15 employees and ensuring the daily engagement of up to 250 students. Your role is crucial in fostering a supportive and enriching environment where students and families feel valued and excited to participate every day.

- Lead and Inspire: Manage a team of staff across both during-the-day and after-school programming, ensuring high-quality and engaging experiences for all participants.
- Ensure Safety and Structure: Oversee daily operations, to maintain a secure, welcoming, and organized learning environment.
- Develop Enrichment Opportunities: Implement a variety of enrichment activities to provide students with diverse and exciting learning experiences.
- Drive Growth: Maintain accurate attendance records and actively work to increase enrollment.
- Community Building: Build strong connections with school administrators, students, families and your team, creating a positive and collaborative atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
- Travel as necessary to client, school or meeting sites as required for program or administrative needs
- Ensure regular reliable attendance while adhering to all aspects of the accompany attendance policy
- Oversee operations for both during the day Tk/K Programs (AM and PM) as well as after school programs ensuring adherence to Assist’s standards
- Oversee student attendance, including accurate record-keeping, timely dismissal, and entry into systems like Synergy.
- Manage staff schedules, including breaks and rotations, while addressing overstaffing or understaffing to maintain proper ratios.
- Maintain consistent communication with families about program offerings, attendance, and disciplinary concerns.
- Submit daily reports to the campus and corporate office, and respond to district requests as needed.
- Monitor and maintain inventory, supplies, and equipment, ensuring proper use and organization. Follow requisition processes to restock items as needed.
- Step in as needed to supervise students and maintain ratios during staffing shortages or high attendance periods.
Qualifications:
- 2+ year of experience working with TK–6th grade students in an educational setting.
- Prior Early Childhood Education (ECE) schooling or experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage attendance and enrollment processes.
- 1+ year of supervisory experience in a similar educational or youth-focused setting.
- Tech-savvy; able to pass a proprietary tech-skills assessment.
- A deep passion for education and a commitment to improving students’ lives.
- A desire to build a long-term career in education.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must pass LiveScan background check
- Must clear TB test
- 48+ completed college units, OR
- A paraeducator certificate, OR
- Willingness to pass a paraeducator exam
- (Completion of ECE/CHDEV/HDEV units is a plus.)
