Youth Services
American Legion Baseball is one of the most prominent and tradition-rich amateur athletic leagues in existence.
The leadership of the American Legion’s Elk Grove Post 233 is sponsoring the return of American Legion Baseball to the Elk Grove and South Sacramento area for 2023. The players come from the high school age group.
We are very lucky to have Head Coach Dave Pinckney who is a longtime Elk Grove baseball coach who coached at Elk Grove High School for many years and has offered to manage the team for the 2023 season.
We also have support from many former professional baseball players including Elk Grove alumni Jared Deacon, Ray Hernandez, David Hernandez We will be working out at local baseball fields and the Elk Grove Sports Lab.
We will be developing a highly competitive American Legion Baseball team from the area that is accessible to our regions high school players with little or no cost to the players.
We are committed to growing the game in the Elk Grove area and providing young men with the opportunity to compete in a sport they love and a chance to represent the Elk Grove and South Sacramento area community.
You can assist in our goals for our first 2023 season by offering:
1. Program development assistance.
2. Mentoring and guidance for players and management.
3. Access to facilities and equipment.
