Time: 10:30 AM - 2:00 PM PDT
Event Description:
The Elk Grove Historical Society and the 2017 Elk Grove Chamber Leadership Class are proud to present Pinkerton’s Picnic in the Park, kicking off Elk Grove's History Week. You and your family are invited to join us to celebrate our beloved Elizabeth Pinkerton by putting on a picnic event to honor her and the tradition of the famous Grange Picnic of the late 1800s. The family friendly event includes a picnic luncheon available for purchase, free children's activities, prizes, & entertainment, and a ribbon cutting ceremony for the grand opening of the refurbished Historical Courthouse & Jail Exhibit in Heritage Park. The Historical Society and the Chamber’s Leadership Group hope that you and your family (especially your children/grandchildren) will help us celebrate Elizabeth’s contributions as a historian by attending the picnic in her honor. A formal invitation will follow in the mail, but you can register now at the webpage
