This Art Reception will feature the renowned California artist, Milford Zornes, 1908 - 2008, who is best known for his vibrant watercolor scene paintings. His work is found in many collections and museums, including the White House, The Library of Congress Collection and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. During the reception, Milford Zornes' daughter, Maria Baker, will be speaking about his life and art. Her husband, Hal Baker, who is the author of the latest Milford Zornes Biography: "Happiness is Warm color in the Shade," will be presenting selected readings from the book. Reception will be held at the Arts Center, 9080 Elk Grove Blvd., 95624 from 4-7pm, presentation @5:30pm with show continuing to May 23rd, Wed-Sat 11am-4pm.
