Use your CalFresh/SNAP/P-EBT benefits on fresh, local, affordable food while supporting the local economy through Alchemist's CalFresh at Farmers' Market program. CalFresh and Pandemic EBT recipients can use their benefits to shop at the Laguna Farmers' Market every Saturday in the Laguna Gateway parking lot (between Dick's Sporting Goods and Red Robin restaurant). CalFresh/SNAP recipients with active EBT cards can spend CalFresh benefits at the Alchemist booth in exchange for vouchers to spend directly with farmers' market vendors. When EBT customers spend $10 or more in benefits from their cards, they will receive an extra $10 free for fruits and vegetables through the Market Match program. Pandemic EBT (P-EBT) recipients with active P-EBT cards can spend benefits at the farmers' market the same way as EBT cardholders. P-EBT benefits are matched the same way, and P-EBT customers will receive an extra $10 free for fruits and vegetables when they spend $10 or more in P-EBT benefits at the CalFresh booth. CalFresh booth is open whenever the market is open - Saturdays year-round from 8am-12pm. Low-income Sacramento County residents who qualify for CalFresh and want to sign up can start an application at the farmers' market or over the phone with Alchemist staff at (916) 890-4539. Alchemist's CalFresh at Farmers' Market program is always recruiting for new volunteers. Looking for a great way to give back to your community and provide equitable food access for all?
